Divide the total number of slices by the number of slices in each pizza.

Now think about the remainder. The answer is either 16 or 17.

Multiply:

5 × 16 = 80

5 × 17 = 85

16 pizzas (80 slices) is not enough. 17 pizzas (85 slices) is correct. The school should buy 17 pizzas.
